Portrait Demo

Assignment Description: In this portrait demonstration project we learned about different types of portraits and how to take them. We learned how the studio lighting is set up and we also found out how to make an amateur studio using natural light. If you use a reflection card you can fill some shadows that give the photo a professional look. We also used Gimp to create the final project we turned in which I learned new techniques doing that.

Motion

Assignment Description: For this motion assignment we went outside to capture try and caption the movement of a motorcycle.

Summary: This project allowed us to use new techniques that we had not used before to capture motion. We had to move the camera with the object in motion so only the background would blur and give it the "motion" look.

Edited Photo

Summary: I used Gimp to erase certain areas of the original photo and create new layers to fill the open spaces. The final edited picture turned out good. It shows different nature settings outside the school but the backpacker is stuck in the school.
