Gimp 2: Car Editing

Assignment Description: We were given a photo of a sports car that was taken at an auto show and told to edit it to match a photo that was already edited.

Assignment Summary:  I learned a lot of new editing tools in Gimp during this project.  A few examples are selecting only certain objects to edit and switching up the levels of the photo. It was very interesting learning these new techniques so we can perfect our photos in the future.

Animal Assignment

Description: During this assignment I took photos of several different animals throughout my neighborhood. I tried to capture the nature of the animal in each photo.

Summary: I chose to take photographs of animals this week to learn how to capture animals in motion and in nature. I worked with my camera at home so I learned to change the settings of the camera. I also had my first experience editing photos in Gimp and Photoshop which can make the photo look very nice.

Gimp Assignment

 

During this assignment we had our first look at the Gimp application. Gimp will be very helpful during this class to edit and work on our photos. We learned basic editing and how to change the color of photographs in the program.

Composition Assignment

Assignment Description:
In this assignment we were to take and post 11 photos showing the 11 different elements of composition.

What I Learned:
I learned the basic elements of photography and how to use the cameras. I also learned how to use a couple different photography websites to share and edit my photos. I learned how to set up, and take quality photographs.
